Welcome to ADS – Independent Living Solutions

At ADS we believe a home should be an integrated part of an individual’s care package and budget. And, because everyone is different it should be tailored to their needs and wishes.

As a Social Enterprise our ethos is to offer a service to join up provision of homes with commissioning of care.

We provide a person-centred, cost effective, new approach to delivering better, smarter solutions giving people trying to live as independently as possible, greater choice and flexibility to own their home.

What is it?

ADS has developed a new purpose-designed and custom- built product, manufactured off-site. Each home is personalised around an individual’s needs. These homes are: Scalable, Modular, Intelligent, Lifetime Homes & Efficient.

We call them SMILE HOMES®

The challenge

Research by the Department of Health, Mencap, The King’s Fund, Age UK and Leonard Cheshire to name but a few, all identifies a chronic shortage of fit for purpose lifetime homes especially for people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health conditions.

ADS has focused on solutions to address this crisis; Smile Homes® provide choice, flexibility and speed of response to meet these challenges.

Smile Homes®

People’s needs are usually complex and always unique. So we meet with the home user, their family and care and commissioning team as appropriate, to listen to needs and wishes and build each home with finishes and technology based on these requirements. Homes can be supplied as single units, pairs or small clusters which can be scaled as required and located where they are needed.

Technology

Appropriate person-centred technology built into a home can help a person live independently. We can also learn from the data allowing improvements including in some cases a reduced need for care support, significant cost reduction and most importantly greater independence.
